It is a subjective account of the life and times of a complex, enigmatic figure both revered and reviled for his valor and vision. This is a challenging book to take on because, after all, the author is Nobel prize winner and legendary storyteller Gabriel García Márquez who writes with bountiful vocabulary, long paragraphs, and little dialogue.
